Program Information

Purpose
Rapid advances in research and technology continue to broaden the scope of the practice of medicine. It is imperative that the physician be aware of concomitant ethical challenges in order to maintain the highest level of professional responsibility.

Objectives
After completing this program the participant will be able to:

  1. Recognize the impact of ethical behavior on patient care.
  2. Apply a model for evaluating ethical decisions.
  3. Integrate appropriate ethical conduct into her/his practice.

Program Description
Each Medical Ethics Today: A CME Update on-line program includes: course contents, CME test and course evaluation for a maximum of two AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Implementation
The estimated time for completion of this program is two hours. In order to get the greatest value from this program, we recommend a four step process.

  1. Read the content and test questions carefully.
  2. Discuss the information covered with your staff or colleagues.
  3. Return to program for a final review of the material and your test answers.
  4. Complete and return the CME test answer sheet and course evaluation to TIV, Inc.

How to Obtain Continuing Education Credits

A certificate of completion will be mailed within 7-10 working days after receipt of the test and evaluation form. In the event you do not pass, you will be notified regarding a retake examination on the same concepts.
